Formations

....../Often in my life I encounter a space, structure or object that expresses something that I really can not put words to. These spaces have not been formed to be artworks, but they are. I suppose these are images that express the unaccessed part of our relationship with the earth. Firstly these are structures that could not exist without us, secondly they are structures that “dialogue” with nature, whether it be sand, grass or snow. There is a subtle aspect to the coexistence between the two, whereby a new kind of beauty results. But there is something else going on; these are all images of construction sites and newly created spaces within natural forms, but there is a vacancy, and it is that vacancy that is the most important element in this work.
